A new Italian restaurant has opened in a prominent building in Cleethorpes.
Amore, owned by Saves Guney, opened this month above Tale of Two on Alexandra Road.
The restaurant offers a wide range of seafood and Italian dishes, with a little mix of mediterranean, and can hold up to 100 customers at a time. As well as being home to extraordinary views of the seafront and River Humber.
Savas began in Louth, where he ran Via Italia for 17 years and was looking to expand and indulge his cooking experience elsewhere, where he feels there is a gap in the market for what he offers.
Gi Grimsby News spoke to Savas Guney, who explained the meaning behind the name. He said, “Love in Italian is Amore and I chose that because I love this job: for me it is about passion.”
Whilst the main room accompanies 70 guests, there is also a small bar area that can account for fifteen people and a private room for events that can hold another twenty people. Savas aims to offer the venue for weddings once the restaurant establishes itself but until then the private room is available for celebrations, including work events, anniversaries and retirement parties.
Amore is open 7 days a week and is open from 12pm to 10pm.
