A man has sadly died and a woman has been injured following a collision on the A16.
Emergency services were called to a single-vehicle collision involving a red Citroen near the Louth Road junction at around 1.10pm this afternoon, Friday 21 November. The vehicle is reported to have been travelling towards Louth Road roundabout before it left the road and collided with a lamp post.
The 82-year-old male driver sadly died at the scene. The passenger – an 80-year-old woman – was treated for minor injuries.
Humberside Police are appealing for information.
A spokesperson for the force said: “We would appeal for anyone who may have been in the area around the time of the collision, who has dashcam footage or witnessed the collision and has not yet spoken to us, to contact us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 223 of 21 November.”
