Police are appealing for witnesses after a sheep was left with severe injuries following a suspected dog attack.
The incident in North Elkington, near Louth, left the animal requiring urgent veterinary treatment for its wounds.
Officers say they believe the incident may have been caused by a dog in a field on Grange Farm Lane. The attack is thought to have happened at some point on Friday 21 November, or before 1pm the following day.
PC Charlotte Redmond, who is leading the investigation, is urging anyone who was walking in the area, or who witnessed anything suspicious, to come forward.
