An 86-year-old man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a crash on the M180.
Emergency services were called to a single-vehicle collision on the westbound carriageway between junctions one and two at around 10.25am on Tuesday 23 December. A white Mercedes is reported to have left the road and crashed into an embankment.
The driver, an 86-year-old man, was taken to hospital for treatment. His injuries are described as serious.
Officers are now appealing for information from anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage from the area at the time.
A spokesperson for the force said: “We would appeal for anyone who may have been in the area around the time of the collision, who has dashcam footage or witnessed the collision and has not yet spoken to us, to contact us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 109 of 23 December.”
