Some of Grimsby’s big shops to remain closed on Boxing Day

Shoppers in Grimsby looking for post-Christmas deals should be aware that not all major stores will be open on Boxing Day. 

Several big retailers have confirmed they will remain closed on December 26, giving staff a well-deserved break after the busy festive period.

Major supermarkets like Tesco, Sainsbury’s, and Morrisons will be open with reduced open hours and a Sunday service. However, several well-known stores across Grimsby will either remain closed or operate on reduced hours on Boxing Day.

Here’s a list of some affected stores:

Aldi

Cleethorpes Road, Magdalene Road, and Matthew Telford Road will be closed on Boxing Day. They will reopen on Saturday, 27 December.

Lidl

The Cromwell Road and Ladysmith Road stores will reopen on Saturday, 27 December.

M&S

The Victoria Street M&S will reopen at 8:30am on Saturday, 27 December.

The Range

The Range’s Victoria Street store will be closed on Boxing Day.

Home Bargains

Grimsby and Immingham branches will be shut on Boxing Day, reopening on Saturday, 27 December.

B&Q

Peakes Parkway B&Q will also be closed on Boxing Day, reopening on Saturday, 27 December.

Iceland

All local stores will remain shut on Boxing Day.
