Bar staff ‘bitten and punched in face’ in New Year’s Day attack

An investigation is underway after a member of bar staff was reportedly bitten and punched during an attack on New Year’s Day.

The incident happened at around 1am on Thursday 1 January outside Bar Boulevard on Aswell Street in Louth. The staff member was assaulted during the altercation. The severity of their injuries is unknown.  

A 45-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and remains in police custody.

Lincolnshire Police are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with information relating to the incident.
