A man has been charged with a number of offences after being spotted driving erratically.
Officers from Humberside Police’s Roads Policing Unit noticed a vehicle in Brigg during the early hours of Thursday, 1 January. The driver was asked to stop but failed to do so, leading to a police pursuit before the vehicle was eventually brought to a stop.
The driver then attempted to flee the scene on foot in an effort to evade arrest.
George Maxted, 27, of Grimsby, has since been charged with dangerous driving, failing to stop, failing to provide a specimen for analysis, using a motor vehicle without insurance, and failing to co-operate with a preliminary test.
