Man suffers life-threatening injuries in Grimsby crash

A 60-year-old man has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries following a road traffic collision in Grimsby.

Emergency services were called to Ladysmith Road at around 2.30pm on Saturday, 3 January, after reports of a two-vehicle crash.

Police say a red Peugeot was travelling along Ladysmith Road when it collided with a parked blue Vauxhall.

The driver of the Peugeot, a 60-year-old man, was taken to hospital for treatment. His injuries are believed to be life-threatening.

Officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward, particularly the driver of a silver van who is believed to have stopped and assisted at the scene.

A spokesperson for the force said: “If anyone witnessed the incident, has any information including CCTV or dashcam footage, please contact us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 236 of 3 January.”
