Eight people have been arrested following two drug raids in Grimsby.
On Thursday 15 January, officers from Humberside Police’s Grimsby East Neighbourhood Policing Team, Kinetic Intervention Team and Dog Section carried out simultaneous Misuse of Drugs Act warrants at two addresses on Heneage Road.
At the first address, officers seized a large quantity of class A drugs, cash, drug paraphernalia and mobile phones believed to be linked to drug supply. At the second address, further drug paraphernalia and mobile phones were also recovered.
Six people — three men aged 55, 33 and 55, and three women aged 27, 40 and 47 — were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.
Two further arrests were made after individuals were seen acting suspiciously outside one of the addresses and were identified as being wanted for previous offences. A 40-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of theft and possession of a class A drug, and a 46-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of failing to appear.
All eight remain in police custody while enquiries continue.

Inspector Pete Musgrave said: “Today’s action is part of a wider approach to tackling antisocial behaviour and drug dealing on the East Marsh named Operation Mandala. I would like to thank all the people who help us to take action like today by contacting us with information about drug dealing and drug related crime in their areas.
“Nobody knows more about what is happening in a community than those that live and work there, and reports from the public helps us in our efforts to make the streets safer. I would encourage anyone who has concerns about criminality and drug dealing in their area to speak to your local officer, call into your nearest station or call our non-emergency number 101. Alternatively, you can report information anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
