The shelves are nearly bare at Grimsby’s only River Island store as it counts down to closure later this month.
A clearance sale has emptied many of the rails and racks, with shoppers taking their final chance to snap up bargains before the store closes its doors for good – but there are still some deals to be found!
The Freshney Place branch is set to shut on 31 January, part of a nationwide plan affecting 33 River Island stores. The retailer confirmed last year that several loss-making and marginally profitable outlets, including Grimsby’s, would close as part of a wider restructuring effort to avoid administration.
For local shoppers, it’s the end of an era — and the last opportunity to grab River Island favourites close to home.
