A 56-year-old man who died in a road traffic collision earlier this week has been named by his family.

Emergency services were called to reports of a collision involving a HGV and a pedestrian near the Horkstow Road overpass on the A15 at around 9.50am on Monday 12 January.

The pedestrian, now named as Andrew Bontoft, sustained fatal injuries and sadly died at the scene.

His family are being supported by specially trained officers and have asked for privacy during this difficult time.

Humberside Police continue to appeal for anyone with information about the incident to come forward.

A spokesperson for the force said: “If anyone witnessed the incident, has any information including CCTV or dashcam footage, please contact us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 107 of 12 January 2026.”
