Seven properties searched in targeted drug raids

Four people have been arrested after Humberside Police raided seven properties in Grimsby and Cleethorpes.

On Friday 23 January, the force’s Kinetic Intervention Team, Proactive Team, Dog Section and Neighbourhood Policing Teams conducted warrants at properties on Highfield Avenue, Fraser Street, Stanley Street, Hainton Avenue, Pasture Street, Oxford Street, and Harrington Street.

Searches uncovered a quantity of suspected class B and C drugs, mobile phones believed to be linked to drug supply and criminal property.

A 30-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman were both arrested at the Sixhills Street property on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.

From the address on Highfield Avenue, a 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs, while a 50-year-old man was arrested on Oxford Street on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class B drugs and failing to appear.

All four people have been released on bail – but police investigations are ongoing.

Detective Inspector Tom Kelly said: “The mobile phones seized will now undergo detailed analysis by our Digital Forensics Team. These investigations can be lengthy and complex, but enquiries remain ongoing, and tackling drug-related crime across our force area continues to be a priority for us.

“We investigate all information that we receive, so please don’t worry if you don’t see immediate action. The information we get from the public is used to build the bigger picture of evidence, enabling us to have the best possible chance of a positive outcome through the action we take when the time is right.”
