A large refurbishment is underway at a restaurant after being taken on by a Cleethorpes businessman.
The popular ‘The Halfway House’ in North Thoresby, near Grimsby, sadly announced it’s closure with immediate effect in January.
Describing the “hard decision” to close, the owners cited a combination of the cost-of-living crisis, the pandemic and rising costs for business owners among the reasons.
However, new owner Peter Venney, owner of Factory Hygiene & Fabrication Cleaning Services Ltd, has taken over the restaurant, and it Is now having a £600,000 refurbishment.
It is understood the work is underway and the owners aim to open next month.
