Body found at Grimsby’s Royal Dock 

Humberside Police are in attendance at Royal Dock in Grimsby after the body of a man was discovered this afternoon, Thursday 2 May.

Officers were called to the scene at around 2.05pm following reports that a man, who is currently unidentified, had been found deceased on a boat. 

A scene guard remains in place while an investigation gets underway. The death is currently being treated as unexplained. 

Detective Inspector Tom Kelly said: “We are in the very early stages of our investigation and we are following lines of enquiry to identify the man, whose death is currently being treated as unexplained.

“A scene guard remains in place whilst we seek to establish the circumstances leading up to the man’s death, and those in the area can expect to see an increased police presence.”
